Deep house tunes and the multitude variety of grooves are his primary form of experession, not only in electronic music. His DJ sets are as sonically baffling as they are irresistibly groovy, which is a data backed up by his residence at circoloco@dc10 parties at Ibiza, alongside foundation of his own label [a:rpia:r], with his mates Raresh and Rhadoo.
The DJ who also spins on Thursday, the third friend and collaborator, Raresh, is one of the most prominent young DJ to come from Romania. Throughout his DJing career, he has earned himself a full summer residency for all the Sunrise events at the Black Sea Coast and Ibiza too, like Cocoon and dc-10, alongside hosting the last Love Parade. On Sunday, 12th July, Institubes presents Surkin, Orgasmic & Das Glow!
This Paris based label is home to many of the world's most popular electronic music artists of the new generation and has become a symbol of Nu Rave culture. Surkin, Orgasmic and Das Glow are its representatives for the night.
23 years old Surkin (born Benoit Heitz) comes from southern France, and brings you music inspired by Detroit ghettotech deepened with all historical club music sounds, focusing on Miami Bass, Chicago ghetto, and house music. He is hot and wanted, remix offers come in droves, from Boys Noize, DJ Mehdi, Goose, Justine Electra, Kate Wax, Klaxons, Paul Johnson, Para One, Spencer Parker… Among his achievements are hits like “Radio Fireworks”, which he made punchier, fattened with generous helpings of white noise—and a new-ish track, “Kiss ‘n’ Horns”, which turns lover’s lane anthem “Kiss And Fly” into a jacking house monster, complete with horn breakdown. Pretty cool, isn't it?
Das Glow— real (Frenchified) name Damien Granier— was born in Moscow, but lives and works in Paris. His first influences, strangely cool, come from the jewlery shop in which he was an apprentice as a boy: the motoric steadiness of the workshop sounds, the unexpected lining up of two streams of jingling and jangling, the miraculous synchronicity emerging from the racket. He combines into his techno sound musical influences of the French Touch (Daft Punk, Mr. Oizo, Air, Motorbass, Etienne de Crécy & Cassius) Matthew Herbert, Matmos, Björk, Institubes, Robag Whrume, Pantytec, and the German minimal empire: Kompakt, Musik Krause, Freude Am Tanzen, Milnor Modern, Trapez/Traum... Can't help but sound promising.
So, in the four nights, off Dance Arena projects of happynovisad stage are giving you a valid option. Four different organizations are presented through some of the names they are most proud of. Give a shot to the different.
