Exit Festival has passed the first and entered the second round of voting for the best festival in Europe!
We would like to truly thank all the people who voted for us, and ask all of you to get down to clicking and start racing with us towards the top of Europe!
Apart from inviting you to vote fo Exit Festival, we are also inviting you to give your votes to T-Mobile InMusic and Hartera, and in that way contribute to spreading the positive image of the festivals and the music scene of the region around the world.
Within European Festival Awards, Exit is on the list of ten festivals nominated for the Best Major Festival, T-Mobile InMusic is in the company of ten festivals competing for the Best Medium Sized Festival, and Hartera is among ten nominated for the Best Small Festival.
Everyone who takes part in voting is a potential winner of the tickets for these festivals. The first voting round ended on 16th December, the second on 30th December, and who the winners are will be known at the awarding ceremony taking place on 13th January in Holland.
Beside Exit, nine European festivals have been nominated in the category Best Major Festival, and among others, there are British Glastonbury, Hungarian Sziget, Danish Roskilde, and so on.
In the first round, till 16th December, festivals were competing in the categories Best Major, Medium Sized, Small and New Festival, and nowit will be possible to vote in categories Best European Festival Line-Up, Best Artist Newcomer, Best Headline Artist, and Anthem Of The Year.
Following the example of UK Festival Awards, where we have been nominated in three past years, and in 2007 were awarded as well, Virtual Festivals Europe, the first online portal for European festivals organizers and their audiences, in cooperation with Yourope, European association of 56 biggest festivals in Europe, for the first time organizes an awarding ceremony for the best European festivals. Within UK Festival Awards we have been nominated in the past three years in a special category, dedicated to the festivals outside UK, since all the other categories and the whole concept are reserved, as the name says, for British festivals. This time, equally competing for the award in several different categories are important and big festivals from Europe, and ours has been nominated for the most important one - Best Major Festival.
