Continuing to book the most prominent from the youngest continent, Exit festival is hosting Midnight Juggernauts, a band described as playing anything from 'prog dance meets cosmic film scores' to 'slasher-flick disco' to 'deadpan landscape'. Their sound defies categorization, but at this day and age, this is no less than a valuable asset.
Formed in 2004, they came to prominence in 2007 with their album "Dystopia", that they released for their own label "Siberia". It helped them get recognized overseas, namely the US and the UK, where the album was dubbed "euphoric hammering together of Krautrock grooves, psychedelic flights of melodic fancy and post-Justice grindy synth noises", even being declared album of the year in 2007 by Pedro Winter in XLR8R magazine. This album also took them excessively on the road, providing them gigs at such festival as Big Day Out, Coachella, Fuji Rock, Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival, Route du Rock, Electric Picnic, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Lovebox,Montreux Jazz Festival, and many others, and allowed them to play alongside such names as Rage Against The Machine, Bjork, Arcade Fire and so forth.
They are preparing a new album for this year, giving a preview to the new album, by releasing "This New Technology" EP, which adds to the list of five others they have released so far. Come to hear Midnight Juggernauts.
