TOKENS are State of Exit’s official currency. Yet, they are not a real currency and can only be exchanged for drinks. Each coin is worth the amount of a certain drink. A lot of the world’s music festivals have their own money and it is a common practice. Our TOKENS exist only in the form of coins which you can see in the picture.

Why are we introducing them? What are they going to be used for?

TOKENS will diminish all the problems with coins and returning change, thus reducing queues in bars. You will be able to get your drink quicker then before.

What can I buy with TOKENS?

You can buy drinks in all of the Festival’s bars, except for the VIP area, where drinks will be more expensive. Also, you can buy drinks at EXIT’s Reload birthday party in Novi Sad.

To buy food or other items on the festival site you can used the local currency of dinars.

How much are they worth?

There are five different types of TOKENS

REC – It is worth 80 dinars (RSD) and you can buy still or sparkling water with it.

EJECT – It is worth 100 dinars (RSD) and you can buy juice or wine with it.

PLAY – It is worth 120 dinars (RSD) and you can buy beer with it.

PAUSE – It is worth 150 dinars (RSD) and you can buy energy drinks with it.

STAR (Six Pack) – It is worth 600 dinars (CSD) and you can buy six beers with it.

If you decide to purchase COCKTAIL, meaning one of each kind of TOKENS, you will be charged 1000 dinars (RSD) thus saving 170 dinars – Six Pack will save you 120 dinars + you save an additional 50 dinars if you buy a package. This would not be possible without introducing TOKENS as our currency.

Important note: Every coin is strictly devoted to a certain quantity of the certain kind of drink as listed here. For example: For STAR you can only purchase six beers and not 6 juices or 6 wines although they are worth the same. While purchasing STAR, on your receipt it will be printed that you bought six beers and that is why it is not possible to combine TOKEN coins.

Where and when can I purchase TOKENS?

During the Festival there will be 40 booths on the Petrovaradin Fortress (Dance Arena – 5, Arts Academy – 5, Main Stage – 15, Reggae Stage – 5, Entrance by the church (Entrance 2) – 10) and 5 booths in the Camp where you can purchase TOKENS.
Please find a map of the booths here.

It will also be possible to purchase TOKENS during the last three days of the Serbian film festival, from July 6th to July 9th in Novi Sad. TOKENS will be introduced on the EXIT’s Reload birthday party to be held on July 7th in Novi Sad.

How many TOKENS will be in circulation?

There are enough TOKENS for all the visitors of the Festival for all four days. Do not worry J

Who produced them?

TOKENS were produced in the Money Mint of Serbia thus it is almost impossible to forge them.

Can I purchase TOKENS in any other currency apart for dinars (RSD)?

No. TOKENS are only money subsidisers – actually they are goods transferred in symbolic currency. As dinars (RSD) are the only official and legal currency in Serbia, TOKENS can be bought for dinars only.

Would there be any spots where I can pay with dinars (RSD) and TOKENS as well?

No. That would complicate whole process and it would provoke crowded spots. But you can buy food and other good at the festival in dinars.

Would it be possible to exchange TOKENS which I did not spend for dinars (RSD) after the Festival?

No, but you could save them for the next Festival. Money return processes are far too complicated regarding Serbian laws. By the way, are you that sure you would have any TOKENS left by the end of the Festival? ;-)
